Mauludur Rahman, the Upazila Secondary Education Officer, attended as the Chief Guest, while renowned educator Nazrul Haque and Upazila Academic Supervisor Arifur Rahman were present as special guests.
The program was presided over by Mohammad Saifur Rahman Bablu, the founder and Chairman of the Managing Committee of Lutfur-Nehar Girls’ School.
Moderated by Assistant Teacher Abid Mohammad, the reception featured speeches from several dignitaries, including Acting Headmaster Foni Bhushan Paul, writer and journalist Kabir Ahmed Chowdhury, Administrative Officer of Bhadeshwar Union Parishad Abul Kashem, Headmaster of Fulmalik Government Primary School Bilal Ahmed, and others including representatives from the advisory committee and teaching staff.
A Legacy of Enlightenment
Speakers reminisced about the long and distinguished career of the venerable educator Moksusul Ambia Chowdhury, noting that he spent his life as a "beacon of light." They highlighted that generations of his students are now well-established across various sectors of society, calling his contribution to regional education exemplary.
Known affectionately throughout Eastern Sylhet as "Ambia Sir," speakers emphasized that his reputation stems from a deep-rooted commitment to education rather than viewing teaching as a mere profession.
The speakers specifically lauded his role at Lutfur-Nehar Girls’ School. Following his retirement from DM High School, he joined this institution to promote women's education in Alinagar Union. In just four years, his leadership as both an educator and a skilled administrator laid a solid foundation for the school's future growth.
The Final Address
In his farewell speech, Moksusul Ambia Chowdhury reassured teachers, students, and parents that although he is retiring from his formal position, he remains committed to the school's welfare and will be available for any future needs.
As a token of appreciation, the school management presented him with a commemorative crest, and students from various classes offered formal citations (Manpatra) and gifts to their beloved headmaster.
