Sushanta Das Gupta joins Royal Marines in UK as Environment-Health-Fire Safety Advisor

The Ministry of Defence in Britain has appointed Engineer Sushanta Das Gupta as an adviser for environmental, health, and fire safety within the Royal Marines. Sushanta had previously worked as a Cadet Instructor in the British Army.

Starting from September 4th, he will take up his new role.

Sushanta Das Gupta, of Bangladeshi origin. He completed his SSC from Habiganj Government High School, HSC from Habiganj Brindaban Government College, and a BSc in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).

In 2003, he started his career as an assistant engineer in an engineering firm called EPCT.

Before going to the UK for higher studies, he worked as an assistant engineer in the local government and rural development department. After obtaining a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of East London, he managed a technology company called Techshed for an extended period.

In his professional life, Sushanta is a member of various organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Chartered Institute of Building, the Chartered Institution of Environmental Health, and the Institute of Occupational Health.

Sushanta Das Gupta is the founder chairman of "Amar MP", and he is also the founder of a daily newspaper called "Amar Habiganj."

Regarding his appointment, Sushanta Das Gupta said, this could be an inspiration for Bangladeshi students. He emphasized that there is an opportunity in this country for those who work hard, not just academically but also in practical fields after completing their education abroad.
