Ban vs Sl test: Jakir Hasan accepted the failure

At the end of the third day of the ChattogramTest, the team has fallen into the face of defeat. Sri Lanka has surged ahead by 455 runs. In addition, one batting failure follows another for Bangladesh.

In this delicate situation, there was no room for optimistic words from Bangladesh's batsman Jakir Hasan. He didn't even walk that path. He accepted the words of failure.

Personally, Jakir's performance in this test has been far from satisfactory. He scored the highest 54 runs for the team in the first innings with the bat. However, amidst the poor performance of the other batters, he faced questions with a troubled face at the press conference.

He openly admitted the failure, saying, "We have completely failed. We couldn't perform according to our capability. We couldn't play the way we needed to."

To win a Test match, all three departments must perform well. If Hasan Mahmud's bowling in the second innings is also kept aside, Bangladesh's performance in all three departments in this Test is going downhill. Especially, the consecutive dropped catches have frustrated supporters. Jakir accepted it and said, "There have been many catch drops in this match. We are trying to do better."

At the end of the third day of the Chattogram Test, Sri Lanka is sitting comfortably on a mountain of 455 runs. This lead could further swell on the fourth day. If that doesn't happen, even if they declare the innings in the morning of the fourth day, the challenge of setting a world-record target for Bangladesh remains. No team has ever chased more than 418 runs to win a Test match before.
