Inqilab Mancha has officially rejected the chargesheet filed in the murder case of Sharif Osman Bin Hadi. While the investigative agency held an Awami League ward commissioner responsible, the platform termed the claim as "absurd" and alleged the involvement of a larger circle, including the "state apparatus."

Additional Commissioner of the Detective Branch (DB), Shafiqul Islam, confirmed that the chargesheet was submitted to the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court on Tuesday (January 6) afternoon. According to the DB, Hadi was killed under the instructions and planning of a former ward councillor and Jubo League leader.

"Even a Madman Wouldn't Believe This"
Reacting to the chargesheet, Inqilab Mancha Member Secretary Abdullah Al Jaber said during a protest at Shahbagh on Tuesday night, "The government claims a ward commissioner ordered the hit on Osman Hadi, carried out by Faisal Karim Masud. Even a madman wouldn’t believe this."

He further added, "A complete murder syndicate is involved in this killing, backed by the state apparatus. We will not stop our struggle until they are brought to justice. We reject any chargesheet that excludes their names."

Investigation Findings by DB
The Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) filed charges against 17 individuals following the investigation into the murder of the Inqilab Mancha convener.

DB Additional Commissioner Shafiqul Islam stated that Osman Hadi had initiated a "new trend of politics." Due to this political rivalry, he was allegedly shot dead following the planning and directives of Taijul Islam Chowdhury Bappi, the Organizational Secretary of Dhaka City North Jubo League and a former ward councillor of the Mirpur area.

Ultimatum and Protests
Abdullah Al Jaber accused the government of taking the public for fools. "We wanted to send a message to ensure justice through peaceful programs. But the filed chargesheet shows the government's true intentions," he said.

Issuing a stern warning, the leader added that if the government fails to ensure justice for Hadi and eradicate "Indian hegemony," the people will take the final decision. "This public has shed blood, and if necessary, they will take blood too," he warned.

He also hinted at tougher programs, suggesting that they might demand the resignation of the Law and Home Advisors if their demands are not met.

March for Justice
Earlier on Tuesday, Inqilab Mancha activists conducted a "March for Justice" across 10 locations in Dhaka using 10 pickup vans.

The march started at 11:30 AM from 'Shahid Hadi Chattar' in Shahbagh and covered key areas including Science Lab, Mohammadpur, Rayerbazar, Mirpur-10, Uttara, Jamuna Future Park, Badda, Rampura, and Jatrabari. During the march, they visited the Rayerbazar graveyard to offer prayers for the martyrs of the July uprising.

Addressing the crowd, Jaber concluded, "We marched with four demands. If justice for Hadi is not ensured, the integrity of our flag will remain at risk."
