In Moulvibazar’s Kamalganj Upazila, police recovered the body of a young tea worker from a lake in the Shamshernagar Tea Garden.

The body was retrieved on Monday (July 14) at 10 AM from Section 14 of the Shamshernagar Tea Garden.

According to local sources, Pinu Bauri (24), son of Badu Bauri, left home after breakfast the previous day. His mother searched for him throughout the day but could not find him. On Monday morning, tea workers spotted a body floating in the lake and informed the police. The police recovered the body and brought it to the Shamshernagar Police Outpost.

Upon receiving the news, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Srimangal Circle) Anisur Rahman and Shamshernagar Police Outpost In-Charge (OC) Obaidul Haque visited the scene on Monday afternoon.

OC Obaidul Haque confirmed the incident and stated that the deceased worker was mentally unstable. The body has been sent to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital for an autopsy. An unnatural death case has been recorded at Kamalganj Police Station in this regard.
