Chairman of Natundhara Bangladesh NDB, Momin Mahadi, has said that hundreds of new versions of Abu Jahl are contesting the elections; they have transformed ignorance into Jamaat–Shibir and taken it to the streets. Even after labeling working mothers and sisters as “prostitutes” and universities as “brothels,” no action has been taken against them by the people of the country. As a result, they have gained the audacity to insult anyone, anywhere. They are also using underage students in election campaigning by violating the law.

He made these remarks on the morning of February 4 at a street rally held to demand disclosure of the assets of the advisers. Among those who spoke at the rally were Natundhara’s Presidium Member and Bir Muktijoddha Fazlul Haque, Senior Vice Chairman Shanta Farjana, Vice Chairman Dr. Nurjahan Neera, Joint Secretary General Monir Jaman, Wazed Rana, Mahidul Mallik, Hashem Molla, and others.

At the event, Momin Mahadi further stated that neither the Chief Adviser nor any other adviser is providing accounts of their assets because they have engaged in substantial corruption over the past 18 months. Under these circumstances, the corruption-ridden advisers must be compelled to disclose their asset statements.
